To those who in 1932 upheld the right to use bombing aeroplanes this monument is raised as a protest against war in the air. The site of this monument is the property of Sylvia Pankhurst. Estelle Sylvia Pankhurst (5 May 1882 – 27 September 1960) was an English campaigner for the suffragist movement in the United Kingdom. She was for a time a prominent left communist who then devoted herself to the cause of anti-fascism.
